What is an EV Charging Station?
EV Charging Stations offer a safe and convenient way to power up your electric vehicle. Many stations have helpful apps to monitor your charging progress and get notifications when it’s done.
EV Charging Stations are popping up all over Florida, making it easier than ever to keep your electric car charged up. For even more convenience, download an EV charging app to your smartphone. You’ll be able to track your charge activity, view a map of nearby charging stations and even schedule charge times. You won’t ever have to worry about running low on power!

EV Charging Options
Are you ready to make the switch to an electric vehicle? Before you take the plunge, it’s important to learn about the three ways to charge your EV: Level 1, Level 2 and DC Fast Charging.

Level 1 Charger
Level 1 chargers use common residential 120-volt AC outlets. These chargers can take about 40-50+ hours to charge an all-electric vehicle from zero percent to 80 percent.1

Level 2 Charger
Level 2 chargers are one of the most common types of EV chargers. These chargers can charge an all-electric vehicle up to 80 percent (at empty) in as low as four hours. 1

DC Fast Chargers
DC Fast Chargers, also referred to as Level 3 chargers, are only available at public charging stations due to their high power output. These types of chargers are able to charge electric vehicles up to 80 percent within one hour. 1
