When you upgrade to a Toyota, your vehicle may come with different warranties. There is the Toyota New Vehicle Warranty, Accessories Warranty, Toyota Certified Used Vehicle Warranty and a Hybrid Warranty.1 Learn more about each type of warranty below.

New Vehicle Warranties

Basic Coverage

Each new Toyota model comes with this basic limited warranty coverage. This coverage includes all mechanical and electrical components except for everyday driving wear and tear.

Powertrain Coverage

This covers your Toyota vehicle’s engine, front-wheel drive system, transmission/transaxle, drive axles, airbags and seatbelts.

Rust-Through Coverage

Toyota will take care of corrosion perforation of sheet metal for the first five years of the vehicle’s life.

Emissions Coverage

This coverage varies by part under Federal and California regulations. For more information, check your specific Toyota model’s Warranty & Maintenance Guide.

Accessories Warranty

Toyota OEM parts are designed specifically for Toyota models. The Toyota Accessories Warranty coverage for new vehicles is the same as the Toyota New Vehicle Limited Warranty.1 However, if a driver purchases an OEM part after the original parts warranty has expired, the new part is covered for 12 months from the date of installation.

Toyota Certified Used Vehicle

Toyota Certified Used Vehicles go through a 160-point quality insurance inspection, and each used hybrid vehicle goes through a 174-point standard inspection. Every Toyota Certified Used Hybrid and gas-powered vehicle comes with a limited comprehensive warranty that starts on the date of certified purchase.2

Hybrid Warranty

This hybrid warranty was originally eight years or 100,000 miles. However, it has increased. Starting with 2020 model years, hybrid vehicles are now covered for 10 years or 150,000 miles — whichever comes first.
